TAV Airports

Image Film & Corporate Film (2011)

About Project

TAV builds airports in several countries on a turn-key basis, from financing to operation. They asked us to help them create three individual films to introduce themselves to potential customers, create awareness, and promote their corporation.

As the project began, we created different concepts for each film, however, our focus remained the same; people were familiar with THY, Lufthansa and American Airlines but they didn’t know enough about TAV or exactly what they do.

TAV is actually the invisible power behind the scenes. The values that make TAV so invisible are its slick operational skills and the experience it has built up over the past few years.

With this in mind, we aimed to make this invisible power visible, noticeable and appreciated through every idea we created.

We were fortunate that we already knew TAV very well due to our long lasting relationship with them and we had already gained vast experience in the airport sector. Which, of course, helped us during the process.

About Image Film

Our goal for the brand film was to emphasize that TAV was the invisible power behind all the services at the airport. We thought the best way to make people perceive the presence of TAV was to make them feel the non-presence of it.

So we built the idea around the assumption of all services at the airport coming to a stop as a result of TAV miraculously disappearing from the scene. TAV has a sophisticated system to manage the entire airport during 24/7, 365 days per year, then what if this system stops by ten seconds. This was our premise for this spot.

Following the approval of the ideas we proceeded with preparation of the production infrastructure, casting talent for each film and allocating the necessary equipment and resources. We completed the shooting for all the films in 10 days at 4 airports in 3 different countries with a crew of 35. The postproduction of the films was completed in less than three weeks by our team.

As you can imagine, airports are not ideal places for shooting. You need to arrange your production schedule around the dynamic structure of an airport. This requires precise planning in production as well as being flexible to change the entire plan instantly.

Despite all these challenges and, with the help of TAV Corporate Communication team, we stopped the boarding bridges at the apron and emptied the counters at the terminal.

In this sense, this process was an important experience for all involved.

We strongly recommend companies thinking of shooting at an airport think twice. Or better still, talk to us!

About Corporate Film

What do you think an airport experience is?
Where does it start and finish?
Did you ever even think about it?

In fact, the answer is so simple.

The main idea and goal for this promotional film was to show the viewers how, from the moment the passengers enter into the airport till the moment they are on board, their experience is managed by a very sophisticated system which is managed by TAV. To bring this to life we would need to stop at every step and go into detail.

In other words, we wanted to get the message across that this was not a simple operation as it seemed.

Following the approval of the ideas, we proceeded with preparation of the production infrastructure. We cast the talent for each film and allocated necessary equipment and resources. We completed the shooting for all the films in 10 days at 4 airports in 3 different countries with a crew of 35. The postproduction of the films was completed in less than three weeks by our team.
